In 2023, Michael Angelakos officially announced the end of Passion Pit as a touring act, marking the conclusion of a remarkable fifteen-year journey that transformed bedroom recordings into one of indie pop's most distinctive and emotionally resonant voices. The decision came as Angelakos chose to focus on his mental health and family life, bringing closure to a project that had always been deeply intertwined with his personal struggles and triumphs.
Passion Pit's influence on the indie electronic landscape cannot be overstated.
